Let’s build something.
My skill set is broad, covering a range creative work for print and web. I’ve fulfilled both illustration and graphic design roles following my education at SCAD, from leading the design for the National Geographic catalog, to being the sole creative source for many eyewear publications. My photography is mostly a form of personal journalism, but I do occasionally reach over to the commercial side. I love the WordPress platform for building sites, customizing, and managing content. While I enjoy fulfilling creative work hands-on, my experience is leading me toward more roles in art direction, and fulfilling the creative needs of a project with the right team.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Global Vision Eyewear – Wyoming, MI
Creative Director – October 2013 – September 2015
I was the Creative Director at Global Vision Eyewear for approximately two years, being responsible for all creative assets that represent the company. My primary concentration was the creation of the three sunglasses catalogs above. By creation, I mean from cover to cover, all page layout, typesetting, product photography, model photography, data collection, elements of copy writing, photo retouching, color correction, and pre-press production were my responsibility. I was the creative team, and I pulled it off well. The company branding and web presence were established prior to my arrival, and unfortunately no measures were taken to upgrade the experience.
eTool Developers – Cascade, MI
Art Director / Designer – 2 Years
At eTool I was responsible for web page interface design for our clients—primarily for the automotive aftermarket industry. Layouts were created, approved, and applied to a template in the company’s custom CMS.
Core 3 Creative – Chicago, IL
Art Director / Designer – 6 Years
Core 3 Creative is a design and photography studio with a concentration in the catalog industry. For three years I was the lead designer for the National Geographic catalog, being responsible for all page layout, design, and art direction of the product photography. Work with National Geographic sent me on a number of location shoots to places like Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Spain. I was able to contribute an editorial feel to the catalog through photography of local color and texture, as I maintained page layout and other creative duties while on location. I worked on other accounts while at Core 3 Creative including The Republic of Tea, Graceland Enterprises, Boathouse Sports, Chefwear, and Chaisso.
Freelance Work – Chicago, IL and Washington, DC

I spent time in both Chicago and DC working with Ogilvy Public Relations, Fahey Davidson Advertising, The Leap Partnership, Closer Look Creative, Impiric, The Rosen Group, and Edel Partners. Assignments included designing logos, page layout, and illustration for a variety of clientèle.
